When you create an account we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the service address where we pick up your compost, plus the pickup notes you give us. Our address checker runs in your browser — we don't store what you type into it. When you agree to our Terms of Service at checkout we record which version you agreed to and when. If you write to support, we keep the correspondence.
All payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers — we store only what Stripe returns to us, such as the last four digits and expiry date, to show you which card is on file.
To run your service: scheduling pickups, delivering your starter kit and shop orders, billing, and sending transactional communications about pickups, account status, billing, safety, cancellations, renewals, and service changes (see section 26 of our Terms). We verify service addresses against the public US Census geocoder to catch typos. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Only the services that make ours work: Stripe (payments), Google Workspace (email), and our hosting and network providers. Each handles your data only to provide its service to us.
We use only the cookies our site needs to function — a session cookie when you sign in to the member portal and a security cookie that protects forms. No advertising or tracking cookies.
We keep your account information while your membership is active and afterwards for as long as we need it for bookkeeping, payment records, and to let you rejoin. You can update your details from the member portal at any time.
We may update this policy as our service changes; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
